Quick reminder that our September PSW Medication Safety Collaborative meeting is Thursday, 9/15 from 1500-1600 via Zoom.
- Brainstorming Topic: Safety Rounding, please review the questions below prior to the meeting and come prepared to discuss your organization's approach
- What types of safety/compliance rounding do you do? Example: Monthly unit inspections, quarterly pharmacy tracers, Environment of Care (EOC) rounding, med admin rounding, pump rounding, safety coach, readiness rounding, sweeps, etc.
- How often do you complete safety/compliance rounding?
- Are the safety/compliance rounds completed as a multidisplinary group?
- What criteria do you utilize to survey the area?
- What questions do you ask when rounding?
- What are common citations during the rounding?
- How do you follow up with individuals on findings of the rounding?
